The free Farm Cow whimsie in this issue is also a new mold! See the photos below to see the differences between the WhimsieLand Farmyard Cow whimsie (middle) and the free Farm Cow (left) from this magazine. The Brown spotted cow is from the current Retail Farmyard series. The new cow is a black spotted Holstein like the original. Once the pieces are next to each other, you can see the differences in the modelling and size of the pieces. As with the Farm Duck from issue 1, the base ridges are much wider on the new one indicating that the piece was cast in a plaster mold where the older Wade whimsie cows with the the fine ridges were press molded in steel dies.
