The free membership piece time line was changed this year. The Wade Baby enjoyed a few more months as the free membership piece. This piece would have normally been retired in the August 1998 issue.

To resolve questions over which piece a collector would receive with membership, the Wade Collectors Club changed the issue date for the new membership piece to January 1st of each year.
