Wade Ceramics Makes the Cut!

Originally published on Spring Fair.com

By Mary Clarke
Wade Ceramics has launched a new range of ceramic knives, which are harder, lighter and will stay sharper for longer than regular steel knives.

The smooth, hard non-stick surface makes the ceramic blades easier to clean and more hygienic than standard steel blades. They are also rust-proof, stain-proof and impervious to the food acids which can discolour steel.

The range is available with ergonomic black rubber handles and white or black ceramic blades. The black blades go through an extra firing process, which creates a tighter weaver between the ceramic molecules making it 30 per cent harder than the white.

There are six knives in the collection: an eight-inch chef’s knife, a six-inch slicer, a 14cm multi-purpose santoku knife, a 13cm utility knife and a 9.5cm paring knife.
