Collectibles firm Wade Ceramics has agreed a deal to produce ceramic figures of historic cartoon character Felix the Cat. The company, which employs around 250 people, will create 100 limited edition figures of the grinning feline at its Royal Victoria Pottery site on Westport Road, Burslem.
Contract and collectibles manager Jenny Wright said there was a large market for the pieces, which will retail at £45.

She said: "Felix is a lovable character and will complement our portfolio."

The company will launch the first figure at the Wade Collectors Fair at Kings Hall, in Stoke, on April 9.

It is planning to release other ranges featuring Felix including a set of miniature figures, a money box and Halloween and Christmas gifts.
