Wade Ceramics is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its hugely popular Whimsie collection. A commemorative plaque was unveiled at the Royal Victoria Pottery site on Westport Road, Burslem, to mark the half-century of the small ceramic collectable animals.

Jeremy Wade, grandson of Sir George Wade, attended the event alongside Bill Harper, modeller of the first-ever Whimsie, and Paul Farmer, managing director of Wade Ceramics.
