As the decorations come down and many start back to work, Wade Ceramics' factory shop is reflecting on a busy first Christmas in its new location in the heart of Burslem.

Most visitors were local people, who popped into the shop hoping to find a stocking filler or a last minute gift for friends and family. Marketing director, Martin Cook, comments:

"We've enjoyed a festive first Christmas at our new site in Market Square, with many people coming to us specifically for an unusual gift or simply to look around.

"Our seasonal products, such as the nativity set and crackers, attracted particular interest so I'm pleased to say that they will be followed by a number of new ranges in the coming period. I'd encourage any local collectors to continue to pop in and see what is on offer each month.

"We're looking forward to the New Year and hoping that it is prosperous for the whole of Burslem."
