Planning Starts for Bicentenary

Wade will celebrate its bicentenary (200 Years) in 2010. Wade is already making plans for the celebration! The bicentenary will be featured heavily in the 2010 Stoke-on-Trent Ceramics Festival.

It is hoped that a Royal visit will be made to a new Wade Factory and visitor center during the year. Plans are also being made for a special commemorative piece for the Wade Collector's Club

Unique Kiln Fires up Production

Wade has installed a new state-of-the-art kiln at the Royal Victoria Pottery to help meet the need of it's decanter production. This kiln is believed to be the first of its kind in the UK.

The new kiln fires in 6 hours where the old kiln would take 20 hours! The new kiln is expected to increase turnover by £1 million this year alone.

Red Rose Tea Kittens

Time for Tea. . .

The big news is that Wade has received an order from Red Rose Tea in the USA to produce 18.3 million pieces over the next 3 years with a Pet theme! The series will include, dogs, cats, goldfish, rabbits, Shetland pony, etc.
