NatWest Banks are perhaps the most famous Wade Moneyboxes that have been produced. The series started with a moneysaver program where the child would get Woody when opening a savings account. As their savings grew, so would their pig family. Millions of the NatWest pigs were produced. They were actually produced by the Wade Ireland pottery even though they are maked England. Cousin Wesley was added to the family after the original promotion had ran its course. Cousin Wesley could only be obtained with a £1000 deposit.

Note: in 2006, NatWest started a promotion with 24kt gold glazed Woody in a much smaller size. The piece had applied decals to the base of NatWest 2006 and Wade. Annabel followed in 2007 and Maxwell in 2008. Due to the economy in 2009, Lady Hillary will not be produced at this time but might be produced at a later date.

People are crazy for the NatWest Pigs and currently many fakes are being produced. Make sure and take a look at our Fakes/Forgery section of our website. Many people believe that there are more fake Cousin Wesley pieces on the market than were actually produced!
