KSWader Commissions
KSWader has now became two separate entities: Happy Wade-ing and Your
Miniatures. KSWader was known for their Unicorn and Wizard of OZ pieces.
The majority of our pieces were done in a Special Edition of 25 to be
used for prizes, promotions, and benefits.
The Wade plaques were produced as giveaways at the 2002 Kansas City Wade Fair. The plaques feature the original pre-production visual sketches by Ken Holmes.
In 2001, KSWader added a Fantasy series that included Unicorn, Dragon and Gargoyle. The series also lead to a blow-up and to new whimsies.
Due to the popularity of the 2001 Fantasy Unicorn, KSWader produced a blow-up version of the unicorn and debuted the piece at the 2003 Summer Wade Fest.
KSWader's new series of Fantasy Whimsies of course had to include the Unicorn! The silver dragon and cobalt unicorn were produced as specials for members of the KSWader email announcement list. The Gold unicorn with a black base was issued with a certificate.
Horse of a Different Color Whimsie was the first whimsies KSWader produced. The mold was originally used from the 1982-83 in Tom Smith Farmyard Crackers. The white horse with gold base was produced as a special for the KSWader email announcement list.
A small slipcast calf made it's appearance in 2003 and included the popular Angus and Holstein cattle breeds.
The Christmas Cat was based on the popular 1950's ABC Cats. This time the cat is seen just after snatching a Christmas ornament from the Christmas tree.
The cat mold for the KSWader cat set was originally used in the 1977 English whimsie set (set #8). This time the cats were highly decorated down to the blue eyes of the Siamese Cat. The Cobalt Cat was produced as a special for the 2005 Summer Wade Fest. The black cat with a gold base was a special issue for the KSWader email announcement list. The Gold Cat was issued with a certificate.
