Happy Wade-ing Commissions

The mold was originally used in the 1971 English Whimsie Set (set #1). Half of the bunnies were done in realistic coloration and the other half in pastel Spring colors. The white bunny with a Wade decal on the bum was produced as a special for the 2006 Summer Wade Fest. The Gold Dutch bunny was issued with a Certificate.
The mold was originally used in the 2006-2008 Red Rose Tea Pet Shop Promotion. We produced rabbits in realisitc colors and then as set of Easter Bunnies in a lavendar and yellow matte glaze. The silver Dutch rabbit was produced in a LE 25. 1 in the edition was solid silver, 2 had silver noses, 6 had pink noses and the others had no noses. 1 of the Cottontail Rabbits came in a dark brown glaze.
The mold was originally used in the 1978 English Whimsie Set (set #9). The fish is cobalt blue with silver water and eyes. The pieces were produced as a special for members of the Happy Wade-ing Yahoo! email list at a special price. After a short introduction, the price was increased. This model was introduced at the July 2007 Summer Wade Fest in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. The pieces are inspired by the original Lucky Leprechauns and Lucky Fairyfolk made popular by the Wade Ireland pottery. This piece was produced in a two special American red, white and blue colorways for the USA Summer Wade Fairs. The first piece was produced in a LE 100 for the Summer Wade Fest and the second was produed in a LE 75 for the West Coast Wade Fair in Portland, Oregon. This fair pieces were produced with a mini "whimsie-sized" certificates. The regular set of 3 leprechauns were produced in a LE 150 pieces. A special brown colorway was produced exclusively for members of the Happy Wade-ing Yahoo! email announcment list and came complete with certificate. A special edition of 50 brown leprechauns with certificate were produced with a gold hat and were part of a goodie box promotion.
This model was introduced in July 2008 and produced in two special American red, white and blue colorways for the USA Summer Wade Fairs. A colorway was produced in a LE 75 for the West Coast Wade Fair in Portland, Oregon but the show was CANCELLED! This piece was sold through our general line on our website. The regular set of 3 leprechauns were produced in a LE 150 pieces. A special brown colorway in a LE 100 was produced exclusively for members of the Happy Wade-ing Yahoo! email announcment list.
This model was introduced at the June 2009 at the West Coast Wade Fest in Portland, Oregon. This piece was also produced in a two special American red, white and blue colorways for the USA Summer Wade Fairs as the previous leprechauns. Each of the Wade Fair specials were produced in a LE 75 with a mini "whimsie-sized" certificates. The regular edition contained 2 leprechauns - green and orange hats were produced in a LE 150. A special brown colorway in a LE 75 was produced exclusively for members of the Happy Wade-ing Yahoo! email announcment list and came complete with certificate. We had two special holiday goodie bags this year. The burgundy issued during the Halloween season in a LE 30 and a Christmas Mrs. Clause in a LE 50.
This model was produced in 2010 to celebrate 10 years of commissioning Wade items! The piece features our first commission - an armadillo and our current Leprechaun pieces. The leprechauns are holding a number "10" and the base reads "It started with an armadillo" The brown version was free for spending $500 with us in 2010
This model was introduced at the November 2007 Red Rose Tea Fair in Windsor, Ct. 100 models were produced with a blue moon and silver clouds. The Charlois and Holstien models were released December 2007. The black and gold special was produced for members of the Happy Wade-ing Yahoo! email announcement list in a LE 100.
This is the second model that was based on the original Red Rose Tesa nursery rhyme models. The set of 3 was released May 2008. As you can see, the Farmer's Wife has already "cut off their tails with a carving knife" so that is why there is a bandaid on the bum! The black and gold special was produced for members of the Happy Wade-ing Yahoo! email announcement list in a LE 100.
An Arched Back Cat whimsie was released in October 2008 in a black Halloween Cat colorway. The cat was produced in a LE 50 with an orange base. The cat came in a fabic Halloween Treat sack that included an assortment of Halloween treats, Wade, candy and goodies! The Treat sack sold for $40 shipping included. The mold made another appearance for the November 2008 Red Rose Tea Fair. This cat was white with hand-painted roses on each hip and was in a LE 100. The cost of the RRT cat was $25. The other cats came out in 2008-2009 depending on Wade's production schedule.
This mold was originally used in the 1978-1979 Circus Animates Crackers and then for the Red Rose Tea Circus Animals promotion 1993-1999. The Circus poodle was produced exclusively for hourly drawings during the November 2009 Windsor Wade Show. These pieces were produced with a mini "whimsie-sized" certificate. The Windsor Chamber of Commerce also produced a poodle in red, white and blue colors. We received permission from the chamber to sponsor the hourly prizes.
This mold was originally used as a bluebird entrance piece for a UK Wade Fair. With this commission, we decided to try someing different for the Windsor Wade show and offer the early registered vendors that option of doing their own special colorway whimsie in a LE 100. Happy Wade-ing and various Wade Vendors commissioned a whole flock of birds! These pieces were for the Nov 6, 2010 Windsor Wade Show. The Orange and Green birds were to be a Halloween issue but they did not arrive until Nov 1st. The red-wing blackbird was commissioned by our son, Quenton Rucker for a fundraiser for the 2011 World Scout Jamboree in Sweden. The black with gold and white with gold birds were given out as hourly prizes but Happy Wade-ing . The USA Robin was produced in an edition of 100 but 49 came with red beaks and 51 came with black beaks. The certificate for these robins say LE 100.
This mold was originally used in the 1978-1979 Circus Animates Crackers and then for the Red Rose Tea Circus Animals promotion 1993-1999. The Christmas seals were produced for our 2010 Christmas Goody bag that contained various Wade pieces and goodies. The seals did not arrive instock until early January 2011. The seals were in transit from Wade for 52 days by airmail!
In 2009, Happy Wade-ing started a new whimsie series based on animals of North America. The first piece to be released was the Bobwhite Quail followed by the Skunk, Black-Footed Ferret and Cardinal.
