First off, look at how dirty the base of the Mickey Mouse Moneybox is as compared to the very dark looking backstamp. This style of backstamp was used by Wade in 1953. Although Wade has had a Disney license throughout different time periods, there in no reference to the Disney license on this piece which would have been required in the licensing agreement. The Disney Licenses for Wade were from 1937-1939, 1956-1965 and 1981-1985.

None of the licensed Disney pieces were produced by the Royal Victoria Pottery.
