Our business was started completely by accident - well almost. Could you imagine that it all started with an armadillo? Here is the story of how it all began. Our Wade business was formed around 1999-2000. We attended the 1999 San Antonio, TX Wade fair as new collectors and found out that there was not going to be another Wade show in the USA. We had a great time and decided to host a Midwest Wade Fair. Ed and Bev Rucker hosted a fair in May 2000 at the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall. So, the fair special naturally had to be an armadillo! This was our first Wade commission and got us hooked. The following year, we decided to host another Wade fair. This time, we set our sites high and did 3 Wizard of Oz pieces and 4 Oz by Wade plaques. This was the year that our business partnership became known as KSWader.

During 2006, we decided to focus on small whimsical solid pieces. With the new focus, website and layout we became Happy Wade-ing.
